When the WCSH show 鈥�207鈥� visited the Makerspace at the 麻豆传媒 in May of 2016, they immediately gravitated toward senior Matt Scheuer and the underwater remotely operated vehicle he was building. Now, as a recent 麻豆传媒graduate Scheuer is perfecting the technology and working toward putting the ROV on the market.

In November, Scheuer returned to Biddeford for a demonstration with the ROV for 麻豆传媒faculty and students. 鈥�207鈥� came along to capture the technology in action. Underwater drones typically retail for about $10,000. Scheuer hopes to sell his for $1,500 to make them more affordable and accessible to buyers.
